31 Days of Worship: Day 18: It is time to Break Every Chain

It is finally the weekend and I hope you are all enjoying it.  It almost seems shameful to cover such a deep issue on a weekend, but i feel God calling me to address this issue now and not wait until Monday.

Today’s Worship Song: Break Every Chain by Jesus Culture.

There absolutely is power in the name of Jesus Christ and until we not only understand this but act on it, we will not operate under the full authority of Jesus Christ.

Too many of us are being pulled away by “little” sins.  Sins we know to stay clear of, but can’t seem to help ourselves.

Well, today is the day to lay the “it’s” down.  Come on, we all have an “it,” that one sin that trips us up time and time again.

My friend Arika shared the following on her Facebook page the other day and boy oh boy did it hit home:

The “IT” has got to go!!!! We all have that one thing…our “IT”…that is holding us back, keeping us from walking in the fullness of what God wants to do in our lives and it’s time for us to drive it out!!

Numbers 33:52-56- 52 then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their engraved stones, destroy all their molded images, and demolish all their high places; 53 you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess. 54 And you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families; to the larger you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance; there everyone’s inheritance shall be whatever falls to him by lot. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers. 55 But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell. 56 Moreover it shall be that I will do to you as I thought to do to them.”

We are called to break Every chain.  No sin left behind!

Psalm 2:3 (NIV)-“Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”

What chain of yours still needs broken?  Is there something you need to lay down at the feet of Jesus?  Well, if that is you, lay it down, all down today, right now.  And for your own sake, don’t pick it back up again.

Have a blessed weekend,
